Meet Winter �%9D��%8F - A Gentle Soul Searching for Her Forever Home Winter is a stunning 1�%BD-year-old White German Shepherd with a heart as soft as freshly fallen snow. Weighing about 70 pounds, she's a gentle, loving companion who's ready to bring peace and loyalty into the life of the right family. Winter comes from impressive lineage - her mother hails from American lines, and her father from Israel. Both were winners of various competitions, embodying the best traits of the breed. But life had other plans. When her original owner faced hardship and could no longer care for them, Winter's parents were surrendered to a kind couple who were unaware that Winter's mother was expecting. That surprise led to Winter's birth - a gift wrapped in white fur. This sweet girl has grown into a gentle, quiet soul. She doesn't bark much at all - instead, she softly whimpers like a baby when she wants something or needs comfort. She is house trained, goes to bed early (after her one bedtime cookie!), and sleeps through the night like a dream. Winter does well with other dogs, though we're unsure how she'd do with cats. She's also good with children, but due to her size and the calm energy she thrives on, a home with teens rather than toddlers would be ideal. Sadly, the kind couple who took in Winter's family live in an HOA that is making it difficult for them to keep her. They love her deeply and only want the best for her - a family who can give her the time, space, and stability she deserves. My biggest addiction is empathy, and it's very hard for me to turn my back on a dog. I've been trying to curtail rescuing, because I was diagnosed with cancer 4 years ago. I actually had surgery September 4th, and was in the hospital for 2 months due to complications and infections. When they came to me for help to find Winter the home she needs, I just couldn't say no, as I know Im really good at matching appropriately, and it was important to me that she was carefully and properly placed. My goal is to make sure Winter finds a final forever loving home. If you are in a home, please privacy fences only...no chainlink fences. My goal is to make sure I get Winter the home that she needs and deserves with someone who will love her and give her all the care and attention and affection that she deserves for the rest of her life and be able to be committed to her physically, mentally, emotionally and financially. I have made the commitment Winter to make sure I find her the opportunity to find the right home she needs and deserves. Winter is spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm tested, heartworm negative, on heartworm & flea/tick prevention, microchipped (and microchip remains in my name indefinitely for her safety...more than happy to explain) & if u adopt her, you MUST keep her on both & up to date with yearly check ups & vaccines.
