Hi!%BD%A0%BD%A0My name is Stella. I am a 22 month old spayed Shepherd mix and I am 45 pounds. I was rescued at the very last minute of scheduled euthanasia at the highkill shelter in Los Angeles! Thanks to AllJoy4paws Rescue for saving my life! I am currently learning to live my best life with my foster family in San Diego. This is what my foster mom says about me: PERSONALITY: Stella is such a beautiful girl packed with personality.%BD%A0%BD%A0Stella is an affectionate, sweet, loving, and spunky girl.%BD%A0%BD%A0She is curious, has lots of energy, enjoys playtime, and loves attention. In fact, she wants ALL of the attention.%BD%A0%BD%A0 She wants to please and is very eager to please.%BD%A0%BD%A0Whether it is going on long walks, or adventures outside, she will be ready to join in on the fun.%BD%A0%BD%A0 Stella benefits from mental stimulation and is a quick, and eager learner.%BD%A0%BD%A0She knows the command 'sit' when presented with her food or a treat. She is potty trained, has all her shots, is on flea medication, and is spayed. She has been learning to relax in the crate.%BD%A0%BD%A0If she needs to be left alone, she doesn't seem to mind napping in her comfy crate.%BD%A0%BD%A0She has been fine left alone at home without being inside of the crate, but the crate is beneficial for her to relax.%BD%A0%BD%A0She sleeps in the crate at night. Stella will prance and nudge your hand and want to be your companion, she is non-aggressive and bonds fast. BEHAVIOR: Don't judge this sweet girl.%BD%A0%BD%A0She may seem overly excited but that is because she is only 22 months old.%BD%A0%BD%A0She is strong and has a deep voice. Stella is living with her human mom and dad, human brother and sister, and her 18 pound Maltese mix doggie brother named Charlie.%BD%A0%BD%A0Stella is learning to share with Charlie.%BD%A0%BD%A0She plays appropriately with him.%BD%A0%BD%A0She can get jealous at times.%BD%A0%BD%A0Charlie is quite smaller than Stella, and Stella likes to use her front paws to play with him.%BD%A0%BD%A0She opens her mouth over him, and although it looks scary, she is only trying to tease him. Stella engages and initiates play activity with Charlie and will sometimes even jump over him.%BD%A0%BD%A0 She is polite and will not beg for food. Stella likes to relax on her dog bed, in her open crate, or anywhere on the floor. She redirects well and will listen to the command 'Off' as she is learning not to jump on people nor the inside furniture.%BD%A0%BD%A0She listens well and is learning not to go up the steps, and is learning not to sleep in Charlie's bed. Stella needs a forever home, to be an inside dog (with access to outside) with a loving family that is willing to walk and exercise with her. Although she loves dog companions, if she gets lots of human attention, she will also do well as the only doggie in the house. She is learning proper leash skills.%BD%A0%BD%A0With additional leash training, Stella will make a great addition to a fur-ever family. Currently being cared in Southern California, Stella is ready to embark on a new journey, willing to be transported to everywhere within the US continental, where a wonderful, suitable family awaits to shower her with love and care, and give her the life she deserves.
