About Winter

Winter is half Greman Shorthaired Pointer and the rest is mostly split between Border Collie and Australian Shephard; so, she is very sweet, playful, energetic, and smart. She loves pets, belly rubs, and head rubs, and loves to work hard and play hard. Runs in the forest, through the park, and agility training are favorite, but she is happy doing any outdor activity. We are working through resource-guarding tendencies with Winter: she has shown aggression towards other dogs (including an older dog in our home) over her toys, crate, treats, our vehicles, and us. An excellent dog trainer has helped us establish healthy routines, structure, and positive training methods to reduce Winter's anxiety about guarding stuff, and keep her on the right track. We are also muzzle-training Winter to help her feel comfortable playing outside around other dogs while wearing it.
