About Lilly

LILLY is a gorgeous 16 month old, 14 pound Dachshund mix we were asked to take into rescue because her owner was moving and couldn't take her with him. LILLY is a sweet and playful girl who quickly showed us what a smart and loving pup she is! She knows her name and has picked up commands like 'sit' and 'come.' She's also learned how to use a dog door and confidently goes up and down stairs. LILLY absolutely loves to play. She's the queen of zoomies, and has a blast playing tag and wrestling with her foster siblings. After a good round of play, she's all about the snuggles and will happily curl up next to you for pets or a nap. At night, she sleeps under the covers in the big bed. LILLY is doing great with potty training and has been using a pee pad like a pro. While she does enjoy a little yard digging (in her ongoing quest to find that elusive mole) she's also great at entertaining herself with toys. LILLY thrives with attention but doesn't rely on it to stay happy. We are looking for a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard where she can run, play, and burn off her puppy energy. We have not had her around cats and think she would be fine with kids. LILLY has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. Sadly, at her young age, she is heartworm positive. She started treatment which is paid for by the rescue until she tests negative. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida. We do not have a physical facility for visits. To meet or adopt one of our dogs, you must first submit an adoption application for review. Please remember to check your spam folder for any communication from our team. We adopt to homes within a 1-6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and some dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally. We do not ship or transport our dogs.
