Zoey came into rescue as an owner surrender because her former owner was experiencing significant issues with their health and could no longer care for Zoey. Zoey possesses the typical Chihuahua traits of loyalty, charm, spunk, and big-dog attitude. She is a fantastic snuggler and wants to be under the blankets, next to foster mom on the couch, or at night. She enjoys some snuggles in the big bed at night for a bit, but then foster mom puts her down in a dog bed with a blanket and she sleeps through the night. She is full of the zoomies and loves to play with the squeaky toys sprinkled around the house. Zoey is quick!! She races across the backyard (it is fenced) chasing rabbits, squirrels and the neighborhood cats. Surprisingly she does't bark at them, just enjoys the chase. A fenced yard is a must because she loves to be able to run free. She is a great traveler and does well in her car bed. Zoey does well with foster mom's senior, blind Chihuahua but clearly wants to be the dominant female in the home. She is extremely loyal to foster mom already and in typical Chihuahua fashion could be a bit protective of her person and territory. Zoey needs to find the perfect forever home where her adopter will be patient and allow her the time, she will need to decompress so that she can offer her new person all the love she has to give! She has a fantastic personality, but she is still skittish and a bit nervous. Zoey is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She has also had a dental. She is being fostered in North Canton, OH and is available for an adoption fee of $400.00.
