About Nutmeg

Hello folks! I'm Nutmeg and I'm everything you're looking for in a dog. Need housetrained? I wouldn't dream of making a mess. Need a dog who excels at agility and is active but also loves lounging with you on the sofa with you watching Netflix? Righty-oh! Thats me! Want a pup who pays close attention to everything her owners says? I'm your girl. I know my commands, look and listen, and focus well on my people. I'm an absolute gem and I aim to show you that on our very first meeting. I am five years old, maybe a beagle/terrier mix, and 40 pounds. I am up to date on shots and spayed. I also have my flea and tick prevention. I am friendly, happy, and sweet. I enjoy being in a loving home so much and I cannot wait until I have that again. Until then, I'll keep making everyone here at Desert Haven smile. I have a big beautiful one of my own too and I like to use it! I smile, you smile, we all smile for ice cream! Ha ha ha, did I mention I love food and eat a special food that is geared toward my diabetes? Yep, that's right. I have diabetes and eat a food that my rescue will supply for to you for several months after I'm adopted. It's not expensive, but Desert Haven wants me to keep eating this since my glucose levels do great on it. I get an insulin injection twice per day and I don't eve notice you're doing it. I'm easy peasy! I wouldn't dream of making you feel bad that you give me the injections because all I want to do is be together and love you. It's not big deal, pinky swear. I am great in the car and love travel. I like the wind blowing in my fur or taking cat naps on road trips. If I can lay near you, that will be my dream. I keep my bedding like my bed and blankets very neat and tidy. I love toys so much, I almost forgot how much I love toys! I can play independently with my toys or I will play fetch and tug with my family. I just really love life and living it so whatever we do together will be fine by me! I am a bestie of all besties.
