Update: Axel is now scheduled to be euthanized on 7/2 due to increased kennel stress!! EAST VALLEY has an American Staffordshire Terrier In Need of Immediate Adoption!!! On Urgent alert list, 'Axel' #A2201180!!! Axel is exhibiting high levels of FAS (fear anxiety stress) in the shelter environment & he needs out ASAP !!! He is 2 years old, 74.7lbs, Male. Came to the shelter as a stray on 06/02/25. Animals in our care are struggling and are being placed on urgent alert because they need more out-of-kennel enrichment and socialization with people and other pets. These pets are available for adoption and foster through LAAS, but they are decompensating emotionally and physically. Long-term sheltering is not an option for these pets without significant improvement in their emotional and physical well-being. Please consider taking these pets ASAP. Pets who continue to decompensate or significantly worsen may be placed on the euthanasia alert.
