We would like rehome a foster that we took in. I picked him up as a stray and we have had him for over a month. We named him Drifter, which he responds to. He did not have a microchip and he was posted on FB groups for a couple weeks with no luck finding his home. We have taken him to the vet a couple of times to have him checked out and he received all vaccinations and we had him neutered. We wanted to make sure he was healed up and healthy before we put him up for adoption. He has also been to the groomer to get shaved and he did well on all his visits. He is a super sweet boy, but he deserves way more love and attention then we can provide him right now. We want to find Drifter the perfect home for him. There will be a small adoption fee and we will not release him to anyone unless we are confident that they are the right fit. The last thing we want is to give him to someone that may dump him again, neglect or hurt him. Drifter is a labradoodle, we think. Approximately 1-2 years old. He has puppy energy and should have a safe place to run. We have been working on his training and he is doing pretty well but will require further training. He is kennel trained and potty trained. Currently, he weighs 61-62 lbs but will continue to fill out. Currently, he eats 3 cups of dry food a day, half in the morning and half at night. He likes carrots too! He prefers being loved on over treats and he prefers playing with a toy or ball over treats. He is super sweet and very loving. He likes playing with our senior dog and he did well around other dogs at the vet and groomer, so we are pretty sure he is dog-friendly. We don't know how he is with young kids or other pets/animals.
