About BUD

Adoption Fee: $500.00
Yorkie
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

BUD is a sweet 3-year-old, 10.4-pound Yorkie who recently joined our rescue after his previous owner had to downsize her dogs. Until now, Bud had never even set foot in the grass, he lived entirely indoors and was pad trained. But since arriving in his foster home, he's discovered the joy of having a yard to run and play in, and he's loving every second of it. BUD is learning what it means to truly be a dog. He's enjoying playing hard with toys and romping around with the other pups in the home. He's an affectionate little guy who sleeps soundly at night in the big bed with his foster family. BUD would likely thrive with another dog in the home, and we believe a calm female companion might be the best match for him. He hasn't been tested with children, so we think a home without young kids would be ideal. He's very social and has shown no fear of people or other pets, which is a great sign for his future! As a typical unneutered male, BUD did come to us with a tendency to mark, but now that he's been neutered, he's doing much better, and his potty training continues to improve every day. He's a smart boy and eager to please. Having never really been outside much before, BUD isn't very experienced on a leash and will need some patience and training in that area. Because he's just now being introduced to the outside world, we believe Bud would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard, where he can continue exploring safely. BUD has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
