About ABI

Adoption Fee: $500
Schnauzer
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

ABI is a beautiful 1 year old, 13.2 pound silver mini Schnauzer with a big personality and lots of potential. She's still learning what it means to be a house pet, but she's already come a long way! ABI started off timid, pacing the house for the first couple of days, but now she's relaxing more and can often be found lounging comfortably or running around the backyard with her buddy, Colt (our beagle pup who is also available for adoption). She's especially vocal during playtime-her sass and spunk shine through when she's having fun! Though she hasn't quite figured out how to jump, ABI gets around just fine with the help of doggy steps. She recently discovered the joys of the big bed and will now join her humans (and dog friends) for a cozy night's sleep. She's also content to snuggle up alone in a dog bed in the living room when she needs a little quiet time. ABI is not quite a lap dog yet, but she enjoys being petted and will let you know, sometimes with a little bark, when she wants some attention. She's doing well with potty pads and the doggie door, though she may still have nighttime accidents as she continues learning. She is still adjusting to her name, isn't leash-trained yet, and would do best in a home with a fenced yard. ABI will thrive in a home with a patient, loving person and a pup playmate who can help her build confidence and continue her journey to becoming a happy, well-adjusted companion. ABI has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
