A VOLUNTEER WRITES: 'Hey there, Dalilah what's it like in NYC? Right now she's making the best of her current situation-being the talk of the adoptions room for how stinking cute she is! Whether she's snuggling with toys in her kennel, or peering out from it with her tongue peeking out'|she is adorabull! And her charm doesn't stop there; when we take her outside, it isn't long before she's really hamming it up-flopping over for belly rubs and enchanting us with her silly little antics. Dalilah wasn't always the cheerful little meatball we see now. When she first arrived she was so scared she struggled when being leashed, alligator rolling and thrashing. With gentle care and lots of treats, she has steadily warmed up to familiar handlers and allows leashing and walking. Dalilah has been tense when meeting other dogs, and will do best as the only dog in the home. Dalilah was brought to us by police after being left in an apartment where the tenants moved out. She's been through a lot in a short time, and needs a quiet, patient home she can really decompress in. Dalilah is approx. 4 years old, 44 pounds and her ID is #226506.'
