About Fiona

Meet Fiona! This five-year old black German Shepherd mix is the queen of playing ball. She just loves to play and chase any and all of her magical spheres. Since this is both an indoor and outdoor activity, she can still enjoy exercise on cold rainy days. If you've ever opened up a box of Cracker Jack popcorn, you'll understand her other obsession. Fiona loves to destroy squeaky toys to reach the squeaker prize inside. The best part is she does not eat the parts. Just sew everything back up for the next prize hunt. Mainly shepherd, Fiona is very smart and she'll listen to you if you ask her to do something (unless a ball is involved!). Aside from her playful spirit, Fiona knows how to enjoy quality cuddle time. She lays on her back with her arms up like she's waiting for a hug. She's truly endearing. She definitely craves attention but you can't blame her for that since she spends lots of time in a kennel. She says hi to new people by barking, 'Hey, human! Come play, come love me!' Fiona is definitely not a foodie. You may notice she's a little thin, but it's not because she's sick. With a chicken allergy, the staff switched her to a salmon-based diet, but she's getting a little bored. The staff hopes to discover proteins Fiona will find Fancy Feast worthy. Fiona would love to be your one and only fur kid even though she lives among many dogs at this time. Her ideal home is one without other pets, and because of her size and energy bursts, no small children. She could accidentally knock over children or small people, so she definitely needs a physically sturdy pet parent(s). Her new family should continue working with her on manners that big girls must have! But aside from all that energy (don't forget she is in a kennel often) Fiona is a wannabe couch potato. Her fans and caregivers would love to see her join an active family who also appreciate relaxing on the couch. (Episodes of Geo Pets and Your Daily Dose of Pets are her favorite, but not adoption deal breakers.) History: Fiona has been boarded for two years after her owner had no choice but to move into an apartment that doesn't allow large dogs.
