Todd is a jovial, outgoing and high-energy fellow, though he is a bit shy at first with people. A typical teenager, he loves to play and run and is happy going non-stop with his person or other dogs, though he also enjoys snuggle time and will stand still for hours for chin and ear scratches. He is respectful of mellow cats that aren't inclined to run, and just wants a good sniff when he does catch up to running cats. He is a good sleeper and quietly enjoys his kennel time at night. Todd will 'sit' and 'wait' and is learning 'drop it' and 'come'. He is also trying to learn leash manners, though he can be a strong puller when he's ready to play or explore. He is a big, strong, and fast-moving fellow who isn't aware of his size or strength, and would do best in a home without small children. He would probably be fine in a home with or without other pets but does enjoy interaction and play time with other dogs when available. Todd is looking for a home with active, patient people who can keep up with his strength and energy. Although he is not aggressive and has a happy disposition, he does have a big bark and a protective instinct that might allow him to serve well as a property protector.
