Meet SUMMER, a 13-year-old, 19-pound cream Pomeranian. Summer was adopted from us in 2018 and recently returned due to an unfortunate domestic situation. SUMMER is a sweet, cuddly girl who loves hanging out on the couch with you. She's playful with toys and will sometimes engage with other dogs, though she's a bit aloof and might miss their 'no thanks' signals-so gentle, tolerant dog friends are best! She is good with older kids and we do not know how she would be with cats but can't imagine she would have an issue with them. SUMMER eats wet food or moistened kibble because she only has a few molars, but she's a great eater. Potty trained and good on walks (once she knows you, which takes about two seconds), she's easy to care for in a quiet home. SUMMER does have some separation anxiety-she may bark when her favorite person leaves, even if someone else is still there. Because of this, she'd do best in a home without shared walls (no apartments) and ideally with another friendly dog to help her feel secure. SUMMER is cuddly, affectionate, and will happily climb over any dog to be close to you. When you come home, she'll bounce excitedly by your side until you say hi. Loud noises scare her, so she'll need a calm, reassuring environment. A fenced yard is required for her comfort and safety.
