About Jake

Jake is so smart, sweet, loving, and playful. He's been an amazing dog and everyone loves him. He loves to be pet and scratched and looks up at you adoringly. He likes being a companion and having a job. He has tons of energy. Someone who runs or hikes a lot would also be a great fit. He is very loyal and loves to cuddle. Pets like's & dislikes: He does not like babies. He likes to herd the kids around the pool but nips at their feet. He is very food motivated and loves to be out in the sun. He likes car rides, treats, and belly rubs. Unfortunately he nipped and growled at the baby and that put him into rescue because it was a risk they can take. His owners say they have had him since pup and other than nipping at the baby, he has been such a great dog. So sweet and so smart. They say that he'd be the one to save us in a fire or an emergency. Owners are open to speaking to new adopter. Has the dog had any training? Yes. He Went through training with a trainer for service dogs for veterans. He knows all of the basic commands and when told to go to 'place' he immediately runs to his designated spot. He comes with called and is great with pottying
