About MAMAS

Pit Bull mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Mamas is a beautiful girl in need of a new home. Her owner passed away and her caregiver (her owner's sister) is unable to keep her. She's tried friends, family, and other rescues, but has not had any luck. Name: Mamas Age: 3 - 4 years Breed: Pitbull, 50 pounds Sex: Female (spayed per caregiver, no records available) Location: Linn County, Oregon Vet Info: Mamas is spayed per her caregiver. Her caregiver also tells us Mamas is current with vaccinations, but they're unable to find vet records. Mamas' caregiver tells us Mamas appears to be in very good health. Dog Info: Mamas is an indoor dog with run of the house. She is housebroken and leash trained. We're told Mamas is good with people of all ages and is not possessive of toys, treats, or food. She currently lives with two dogs and three cats but is kept separated. Her caregiver gave us more details: 'Besides her, we have 3 cats and two dogs. She is not affected at all by the cats. She plays around them all the time. She also appeared to get along with our female golden retriever, although they were never together for any real length of time. We have a female Catahoula and we think that Mamas got startled by her one time. They both started fighting and biting each other. We thought it would just be a one time thing but a short time later it happened again. From that point on we got kennels for all the dogs and we only let Mamas out when all the other dogs were locked up. We weren't willing to risk it happening again. It was only about a week or two that they were able to be around each other.' Mamas' right eye has partial vision loss, but they are unsure of the cause. Mamas has done well with her new caregiver, and they feel she adapts well to new situations. Mamas' caregiver wants us to know what a sweet girl Mamas is! She writes, 'My brother really loved her. She is kind and mellow. Aside from other dogs startling her she is a happy and easygoing dog. Does well with my children, ages seven-teens. ... She is very happy and playful. She absolutely loves attention!' Please email [email protected] if you are interested in Mamas. Please know we will ask for a vet reference. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
