About Oscar

Oscar is in a kill facility. A rescuer (Chris Rescue on Facebook) is available to pull Oscar and transport is available in the southest United States. Oscar is an estimated 10+ year old Sharpei who came to us as part of a cruelty case a few short weeks ago. Unforunately, he came to us with a severe flea infestation and secondary skin infection that has left him nearly hairless in the back end, and has a condition in his eyelids that cause them to roll in and irritate his poor eyes. While he does seem to have some vision, we suspect it is likely limited. He will likely require surgery to correct his eyelids or need ongoing medical management for his eyes for the rest of his life. We now have Oscar on some much needed antibiotics, anitfungals and anti-imflammatory medications to help clear his skin allergy and infection and get some pep back into his step! Oscar has been so depressed in our kennels, but his entire demeanor changed when he was brought into the garage to hang out with the employees today! We would absolutely love to find a retirement home for this sweet old man where he can live out the rest of his days with lots of love, a soft bed, and many medicated baths to get him back to the handsome senior man we know he is. If you think you can give Oscar a home for the rest of his days, you can come meet with him during the hours below! He is already neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines, so he can go home at any point! Lets make sure that Oscar's golden years are his best yet.
