About Kato

This beefy blue guy is Kato, a purebred AKC registered Australian Cattle Dog. Kato is 10 years old. He is a big guy, and his breeder breeds larger ACDs. When Kato is at running weight, he is about 75 pounds. He will need to lose a few pounds to get back to that weight. Kato is very smart and has had extensive training. He knows his basics:��%BD%A0Sit, down, stay. He also has an AKC Trick Dog Certificate. He knows: Roll over, turn around, lay down, all the way down (head down too), shake, high five and back up. Click on the red YouTube button to see him in action. Kato is also house and carte trained. Lastly, Kato has earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen certificate. Kato is best with adults but is fine with older kids. He has a tendency to jump on people here and there, so isn't a fit for small kids or people who get knocked over easily. Kato is good with most other dogs of all sizes. He lives with two Border Collies at the moment. He isn't one to play, though. He is more into people and toys. Kato is good with cats, too. Kato is fantastic on leash and walks politely past other dogs. He adores going on walks. He is also good in the car, and gets excited so barks. Kato loves to fetch, and sometimes doesn't give to back. Kato I s a really sweet dog that will sit with you on the couch and sometimes give kisses. He lives to perform his tricks and get treats. He is also a strong, willful Cattle Dog, so will require an owner who knows how to be fair and consistent in managing a smart, driven dog. For that person, this is a very special dog. Kato is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. He is located in Southern CA, and is ready to meet adopters who can come here to adopt.
