This wide eyed rescue kitten man is Perceval. Much like his namesake, Percy is on a quest. His Holy Grail is a human who will be his best buddy for ever and .ever. One of a litter of eight Percy was uprooted from his mom and siblings when he was given away as a 'free kitten'. His taker reached out to me within sixteen hours of becoming his ward. Having repeatedly taken both cats and kittens from this particular individual in the past when I received her message that her new kitten was hiding, refusing food and unwilling to come out, I took her up on her request to take Percy in as on of my rescues. On April 16, 2025, I arrived at her apartment, lured Percy out of hiding, placed him in my flip top carrier and headed out with him. While shy initially Perceval has blossomed. He is enamored of all of my personal and rescue kitties as well as being enamored of my personal dogs. He still hangs back initially at feeding time but happily chows down sampling all of the various varieties of Fancy Feast canned food on the breakfast/dinner plates. Percy has mastered the art of spring batting, fuzzy mouse chasing and feather wand pummeling. He is also smitten with bird watching and will daily take a seat in the front window sill of the living room to watch the birds noshing on bird seed. Having just discovered the Kong Play Spaces Rave Cave Tunnel, Percy greatly enjoys making the tunnel come to life and then basks in the flashing lights that line the tunnel. He has also recently completed the quest of bed lounging. While he defers to my older personal kitties, he will snuggle up beside or on top of me when I am not occupied by my personal kitties. Two weeks ago he partook in a quest involving locating his missing pieces part. With the assistance of my vet, Dr. Jay Dolan, that missing part was found with a tiny incision and then removed. Magically a partial cryptorchid becomes an it cat. Quite frankly Percy seems as though a weight has been lifted since his neuter. An all round successful quest on the date of his neuter, he combo tested negative for both feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, received his rabies and distemper vaccination and was microchipped. Upon my arrival at my vet's office to retrieve him I found Perceval happily snuggled in the lap of one of the front desk receptionists as she was super smitten with this handsome knight. However her husband was disinclined to add another animal to their household. So our dapperly dressed knight's quest continues. He knows the grail is out there and he will find it and when he does he will become someone's bestest buddy ever. If you are a knight or knightess in search of a valiant four footed buddy to add to your round table please feel free to reach out to me. But be mindful that Percy's present quest will require the purrfect lap, never ending cuddles and snuggles, an abundance of tasty treats and a basket full of toys. So let the hunt begin. If interested in becoming the precious little man's human, please feel from to reach out to me. I do when possible like to receive a vet reference for potential adopters.
