About Pedro

This super handsome stud is Pedro, a 4 year old golden boy who is ready for his forever family! Pedro came to us when his family was moving abroad and couldn't take him along. Pedro is a confident, happy boy who adores attention. He will plop in your lap to get love and stay as long as you pet him. Hiking and long walks are among his faves, along with a big basket of toys to play with. He is a medium to higher energy dog who needs daily exercise and play time, and then can chill at home. He is a strong boy, and while he generally walks well on leash he can get excited and pull at times. Pedro enjoys the energy of older kids, and will gently nibble on hands and/or clothes to get you to play/engage with him. Pedro has been an excellent house guest at his foster home, hasn't had any potty accidents and has learned the dog door. He will put his paws up on the counter if there are yummy things there, so this is a reminder to clear the counters! He has been ok being left alone for a couple of hours. Pedro knows his basic commands, is food motivated and eager to please. He enjoys playing with and meeting other dogs, but would like to keep all the toys to himself. :) He is looking for a family who is home a lot of the time, will ensure he gets the exercise and love he needs, and will make him an integral part of the family.
