We are doing the best we can to find the right home for each dog or cat, just need your help too! :) -----------------Please read full bio before responding, thanks!--------------- Louie Louie Louie LOUIE!!--well, that is a blast from the past, not everyone will be reminded of that song when calling this fine little fella. And he is mighty fine, Louie is a handsome boy with an adorable personality to match. His companionship will put a song in your heart...too much?...ya...a little too much. But he is a great little guy!! He was given up to a shelter by his family when they were moving. No judgement, things happen, and the place they were moving into would not allow pets. They did the best they could and took Louie to a shelter where he would be safe and cared for. And he was. But, it was not home and Louie was scared, typical of so many animals in shelters. So, he was a bit anxious and stressed and initially was not his friendly little self. So, we were contacted and happily took Louie into our foster home. So often that is all a dog needs, just a little home environment to decompress and get their bearings. Louie was nervous at first, barked at the husband and a son when he visited. But, leave him alone and he will come around when he is ready. It was within an hour he was seeking attention and checking them out. He is a love bug, he couldn't hold out for very long!! So, we are looking for a dog savvy home that will understand Louie may take a little while to settle into his new home. He loves other dogs and LOVES to play, so another playful dog in the home would be great. He will probably be fine with kids, but we suggest older kids, sorry, no littles. They may be too much for him. Louie loves to snuggle, loves his treats, and his favorite past time is laying on the deck and enjoying the outdoors...or exploring the yard. But, come evening, he is your best couch buddy, after a busy day he is ready for some TV time or a good book. Oh...and he loves his treats...yes..if they are there...he will find them, lol. Little Sherlock! We are hoping for a home for Louie that has someone with him most of the day. He will do best in an active home, a fenced yard and another playful dog buddy will be great. We are guessing he is Shih Tzu and Poodle mix. His coat was shaved down, but it is coming in curly. Louie is 2 years old and a small 10 pounds or so. His adoption fee is $450. Louie will go home with plenty of supplies to help him settle into his new home, a blanket, collar/leash/harness,food, treats and toys! Please email Kristine at [email protected].
