Tonic is a greyhound from Ireland. A home environment was a new experience for Tonic. At first, things such as the cooler turning on, scared him. But he is learning the ropes and has been adapting quite well. He is still learning the fine art of walking on tile without skittering if he goes too fast. A few strategically-placed no-skid rugs have helped build up his confidence. Tonic is a low-maintenance dog, who minds his manners. He responds well to gentle corrections (which is seldom needed). He has never gotten into anything that wasn't given to him (e.g., phones, remotes, shoes, etc.). Tonic uses a dog door and has not had any accidents in the house. After his morning walk and breakfast, he is perfectly happy to stretch out and snooze until lunchtime. After lunch, he takes his potty break; does a quick perimeter check of the backyard (presumably looking for lizards) and then comes back inside for his afternoon nap until dinner. Tonic walks well on a leash, but will pull if he sees another dog. The person walking him will need to be aware of this. The person walking him will need to be vigilant about this. Tonic has not yet learned the joys of playing with stuffies and squeaker toys. But boy oh boy, if he sees a lizard....
