About Urumaco

Urumaco Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog, 8 years old Urumaco is a stunning Louisiana Catahoula Leopard Dog with pedigree (registered). He is 8 years old and full of life. He is a very active dog who loves movement and would happily welcome a job to do or regular physical activity. His previous owner didn't treat him well - reportedly, Urumaco bit him, and euthanasia was being considered. When he first arrived at our shelter, he was frightened and unsure. But he quickly realized he was safe and now behaves like a happy, balanced dog. Urumaco is strong and powerful, so his future owner should be, too - both physically and mentally. He gets along well with female dogs, but doesn't like other males. He would do best in a house with a yard, ideally with indoor access so he can sleep in a warm place. With enough exercise and mental stimulation, he can enjoy relaxing on the couch as well. Urumaco will be adopted vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and treated against parasites.
