I ended up here at the kennel after the place I was staying said they 'wanted to get rid of me.' It was only a foster home, but its all I had ever known. They kept me in a cage most of the time-they said they were busy. The rescue I was with never checked on me, so no one really knew what my days were like. Sometimes I was forgotten-no food, no walks, no kind words. Just me and the sound of my own heart, aching for a tender touch, just someone to care...even a little When they finally said they couldn't keep me anymore, I came here-a frightened bag of bones. I didn't know what love felt like then. But then she saw me. The woman at the kennel. She spoke to me so sweetly. She gave me food every single day, and now I even know when it's coming. She lets me out into a big field twice a day where I can stretch my legs and feel the grass under my paws. She pets me and Sometimes she even tells me she loves me. She also tells me this isn't a real home-that my person is still out there somewhere. That one day, Someone who will look into my eyes and say, 'You're safe now, Yogi. You're home.' I want to believe her. I really do. But it's getting hard to keep waiting. Please if you're reading this, will you share my story? Maybe my person will see it. Maybe they'll come and find me.
