Courtesy Posting: TUSTIN (ORANGE COUNTY), CA, So Cal- RESCUE ONLY YOUNG, 50 lb RED CHOW RETRIEVER LOOKING X ON DEADLINE OF 4/28 OR WILL BE EUTHANIZED - ID #A1912830 ORANGE COUNTY ANIMAL CARE- NEEDS A RESCUE AND THUS ALSO A FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT TO SAVE HIS LIFE STUNNING, YOUNG BOY FOUND AS A STRAY WITH BOTH A COLLAR AND LEASH ,NOW SCARED AND MADE RESCUE ONLY ON SHORT DEADLINE! HAS TORN DEW CLAW AND SHAKING HEAD LIKE HE HAS AN EAR INFECTION OR SOMETHING IN IT! HE CAN ONLY BE PULLED FROM THE SHELTER BY A RESCUE GROUP NOW. RESCUES NEED FOSTERS THOUGH. The shelter is calling him Dale and he is very urgent after being found as a stray and no owner came forward. They claim he can't be handled, yet they think the finder put a leash on him. He's clearly scared as notes say he retreats to back of the kennel, He's also likely in a lot of pain with a torn dew claw and some ear issue. Dale is estimated to be only 2 years old and has not been examined by any vet because they say they can't handle him. He may need to be sedated to see what's really going on in his ear and with a torn dew claw that's probably quite painful. We are currently looking for a chow savvy foster or foster to adopt and rescue to save him in time. We also could use a volunteer to go down there to get video (an advance appointment would be needed).
