Name: Rex Age: DOB 8/24/19 Breed: Goldendoodle, 40 pounds Sex: Male (neutered) Location: Los Angeles, California Vet Info: Rex was diagnosed with SARD in March 2025. He is almost completely blind, may be able to still tell light from dark. Rex has dry eyes, managed with Tacrolimus drops 2x day. He has a sensitive stomach so food must stay consistent. He is not microchipped. He is current with his vaccinations. He has seen a veterinary ophthalmologist. Dog Info: Rex is the stereotypical perfect Goldendoodle according to his owner. Owner works 12 hour days and Rex needs more attention than owner can give. He is very loving and great with children. He is an indoor dog who is crated, housebroken and leash trained. He received professional training and learned many commands and owner is now teaching him to 'step up, step down' to help with his loss of vision. He is very outgoing, and is good with men, women, children of all ages and dogs, both female and male. How he is with cats is unknown since he has not been exposed to them but he is good with other small animals. Rex is generally not aggressive at all but will sometimes growl if someone is trying to take away his bone or touches him when he doesn't know that they are there. Rex has adapted really well to his loss of vision. Rex loves to go running with his owner and play with his owners young children. **Owner Surrender Disclaimer: These are blind and visually impaired dogs who are living in homes, but their owners can no longer keep them.
