About SHADOW

Shadow was initially discovered hiding in a sump along a busy rural road. At that time, he was very young and quite nervous. The heavy traffic made us hesitant to try to coax him across the road. We set traps on several occasions, but he stubbornly avoided them. After weeks of not seeing him, we thought he had moved on, but then we found him about a mile away in a new spot. We began feeding him there and brought an enclosure for his safety. Despite our efforts, he still wouldn't enter the trap. Fortunately, there was a nearby house with a chain-link fenced yard where Shadow started to feel at ease, often sneaking in at night to rest. Eventually, we managed to trap him within the yard's fencing. Although he was finally caught, he was understandably frightened. Having been abandoned at such a young age, he was now nearly a year old and would need time to learn that humans could be kind. Shadow is a truly stunning Doberman Pinscher. His beauty is remarkable. He is gradually learning to trust people and is on his way to becoming an incredible companion ready for his forever home. While he is already wonderful, he will shine even brighter as he emerges from his shell and finds his place in the world. Shadow is friendly with other dogs and enjoys playing with other abandoned pups in the area. He has also shown a good temperament around cats.
