About Cuddles

Cuddles is a good dog and does really well with other people. The reason we are trying to find a home for him after 9 yrs is that he is becoming a financial burden on us. After years of issues with yeast which causes stink, his skin turning red and even black, scratching, licking, ear infections, etc., and not finding any food diet or treatment to help, we finally broke down and took him to a dermatologist. All we have found out at this point is that he has a Staph infection but is most likely allergic to things such as grasses, weeds, dust, etc., and that he will need to be on medication the rest of his life, with most likely, regular follow-ups at the dermatologist. They haven't begun the testing yet to try and determine exactly what he is allergic to so exactly what medication he will is not known at this time. Obviously, he will need an owner who will not mind spending money to keep his allergies under control. Also, while he is very good with people as I mentioned, he does not like it when you try and take something out of his mouth that he knows he shouldn't have...he will growl and snap at you. That may be something a trainer can do something about, but I don't know. Other than that, he generally just lays around. Sometimes he wants to play but not often.
