Max is a happy, sweet, affectionate, and playful, six-year-old, 20-pound, male black and white Shih Tzu looking for a loving guardian. Max loves people and gets along with other dogs. He loves car rides and does nicely on leashed walks. He is working on his housebreaking. Since he was just neutered in February, he's catching up. He's best when walked regularly and crated when he can't be observed. Max lost his home when his human died. He lived for way too long in his original home with a neighbor popping in to feed him. When a realtor came in to sell the home, Max came to rescue. He is now healthy, dewormed, neutered, up-to-date on rabies, distemper and Bordetella vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested and on monthly preventative. His adoption fee of $400 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. He comes complete with absolutely everything you need to care for him. He has been professionally groomed and has a soft magnificent coat. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Max, please fill in an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/dog-adoption-application/ and follow up by contacting [email protected] to make an appointment to meet him. He is currently being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
