About Pebbles

(DOB 02/12/2023) Pebbles - A Sweet and Shy Little Shih Tzu; Miss Pebbles is a sweet, Shih-Tzu (with maybe a little mix of something else) who is a loving little dog who enjoys the simple pleasures, like snuggling up in a warm lap, soaking up the sun, and receiving plenty of belly rubs and back massages. Pebbles is comfortable with other small, friendly dogs and gets along well with adults who can provide her with affection and attention. She loves spending time on the patio with her foster sister, soaking up the sun. Pebbles would do best in a home with a retiree or someone with home a good amount of the time and has the patience to help her build confidence. She would love a peaceful, loving environment where she can feel safe and secure. A quiet home with a small dog companion or as an only dog would suit her well. She enjoys companionship and will quickly bond with her new family. Pebbles is sure to thrive in a loving home where she can give back all the love she has to offer. In addition, to enjoying the company of other smaill, sweet dogs, Pebbles is good with calm, gentle children (a home with playful, loud kids would not be the best fit for this little girl). She would also skip a home with those other 4-legged furries called cats...thank you. Pebbles is a little magnet for strangers and she adores the attention and affection anyone will give her. She is just a doll. Pebbles is food motivated and loves mealtime! She responds well to treats and enjoys her kibble (just a few pieces at a time). While she working on mastering her potty training, she's making great progress. She uses pee pads in her coral and will go outside if she's in a secure backyard. She is still new to the whole walking on a leash thing so it is a bit scary to her and we are taking it slowly, so at this time, a secured fenced yard (designed for small dogs with no gaps or spacing) is ideal for her safety while she works on leash training. Also, due to her petite size, her family should be willing to be outside with her when outside as much as possible for safety. Pebble would not be a fit for an apartment or condo without a fenced in secure yard. With time, patience, and a little training, we believe she'll enjoy walks with her forever family. NOTE: due to her breed she will require regular grooming and trimming about- ~4 weeks, so her forever family would need to be prepared for this as well. Miss Pebbles is a sweet, gentle little dog with a lot of love to give. She may need a little time to adjust, but with patience and a safe, secure environment, she will become the devoted companion you've been looking for.
