About ELEKTRA

ELEKTRA is an 11 month old, 14 pound Pomeranian Poodle mix surrendered to us because her owner was unable to care for her. She has the softest fur, like velvet! ELEKTRA is a precious little girl with a sweet AND spicy little attitude! She likes to snuggle and give kisses but she can also be protective of her space with the other dogs. She was afraid when she first came in but she is finally getting her little tail wagging! ELEKTRA is starting to interact with some of the other dogs in her foster home. She does pick and choose which dog she likes and tends to play with some of the other dogs when she's in bed. Her foster mom thinks it's because she's more comfortable with a person nearby to help oversee the interactions. We believe she would be happiest in a home with another dog but not a high-energy in your face kind of dog. She would be best in a home with a sweet, playful dog about her size. She has not been cat or kid tested. If there are kids in the home they should be older (10+). ELEKTRA is not housebroken but is working on it. She will use the dog door but doesn't always remember that she should be pottying outside. In her previous home we think she spent a lot of time in an x-pen with her sister and probably didn't get the regular house training that she needed. We believe that a home with a fenced yard is necessary for her. She is not leash trained but would probably pick it up quickly. At night, ELEKTRA loves to sleep cuddled up in the big bed next to her foster. ELEKTRA has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Puppies, dogs with pending vet appointments and dogs with behavioral issues are local adoption only. We review multiple applications for each dog and pick the best fit.
