Phil is currently participating in our comprehensive 8-week basic obedience training program designed for dogs. Throughout this course, he will focus on mastering fundamental commands that are essential for good behavior and communication, including 'sit,' 'stay,' 'come,' 'leave it,' 'down,' and 'heel.' In addition to these commands, Phil will engage in crate training, which helps him feel secure and comfortable in his designated space. He will also learn leash training techniques to walk calmly and obediently by his handler's side, fostering a more enjoyable walking experience. To further enhance his social skills, Phil will interact with other dogs and people in a controlled environment, allowing his to build confidence and learn appropriate social behaviors. Overall, this program is designed to ensure that Phil grows into a well-mannered and well-adjusted companion. Hi there! I'm Phil, a playful and friendly dog who arrived at the shelter alongside my brother. We share a special bond and are inseparable, so it's important for us to find a forever home together. I feel most comfortable when my brother is by my side, as we thrive on each other's company. I'm proud to say that I am up-to-date on all my vaccinations, neutered, and have tested negative for both heartworm and Lyme disease, ensuring that I'm healthy and ready for a new adventure. Because of my close relationship with my brother, I haven't had the chance to make many other friends yet. Nonetheless, I absolutely adore toys! Whether it's a squeaky chew toy or a bouncy ball, playing is one of my favorite pastimes. I can't wait to bring joy and companionship into a loving home! **Interested in * To take the first step towards bringing this lovely dog into your home, please complete our online application at https://www.guernseycountydogshelter.com/ or click the round purple button to access it.
