ANGEL is a 12-year-old, 11.8 pound Chihuahua mix who came to us to find a new home. Her daddy had to go into a long-term care facility about six months ago. She was thrown out of her home by a caretaker and rescued when a neighbor saw her on the street. ANGEL is the best name to describe this girl's sweet personality! She is always happy and her tail is always in motion. She is an absolute love bug and loves to cuddle, sit on your lap, and curl up next to you. She will touch you with her nose when she wants your attention and gives the sweetest kisses. ANGEL loves everyone, other dogs and even cats! She has no problem sharing a lap or a sofa or bed. Although not a need, we believe that she will do best with another calm dog in her home. She follows the dogs in her foster home and enjoys their company. ANGEL quickly learned her surroundings and will scratch at the door to go out. She has not had any accidents at all in her foster home. She does walk on a leash but a home with a fence yard is preferred due to her age-related vision and hearing impairment. ANGEL is blind in one eye and vision impaired in the other. She has some hearing issues but she navigates her home well. She is very smart and picks up things quickly. She has some age-related arthritis but she was well cared for in her previous life and it shows! ANGEL is quiet, doesn't bark and only snores softly during deep sleep. That's a big plus for someone in an apartment! She does not seem to have any separation anxiety and naps during the day when her foster family can't be with her. She loves to cuddle underneath a soft blanket. At night sweet ANGEL sleeps in the bed snuggled with her person. ANGEL has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration maintained by the rescue.
