About Penne

Penne: A shy soul with a heart of gold. Penne is a beautiful 3 1/2 year-old girl who has already mastered being a wonderful mama. Now it's her turn and shes looking for someone to be her protector. Its important to know that Penne isnt a 'ready-to-go, instant best friend' type of pup. She starts her journey very shy and needs time to decompress and realize she is safe. She needs a patient human who can offer gentle reassurance and let her find her bravery at her own pace. Once she knows you are her person, that shy exterior melts into the most loyal, snuggly companion. The Penne Profile: The Transition: Needs a 'slow and steady' start to build trust. Social & Sweet: Once shes comfortable, shes great with other dogs and gentle with cats! Family Ready: Wonderful with respectful kids (8+) who understand her need for space initially. Polite & Pro: Crate-trained, fully vetted, and very treat-motivated. Penne is the missing piece to a patient puzzle. All of our animals receive comprehensive veterinary care prior to adoption, including a full exam, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, microchipping, spay or neuter, heartworm testing, and any necessary medical treatment. A vet reference, home and/or family visit, and an adoption fee are required. Transport options are available within our operating region, including Pennsylvania, the tri-state area, and New England.
