About KODIAK

KODIAK is a gorgeous 9 month old, 9.8 pound Blue Heeler Pomeranian Dachshund mix who was taken out of a less than ideal situation into another that wasn't a good fit for him and then we were asked to take him! He's had a lot of moves in his young life and needs a loving permanent home. KODIAK is a friendly, happy puppy. He is a lover and a kisser that will follow you everywhere. He loves attention and affection so much. He does bark when a new person arrives in the home, but settles down shortly and is ready to make friends! KODIAK gets along well with other small dogs and would be happy to have a friend to play with. At first we thought he would also be okay as a solo, but he is very active and loves to run and play with other dogs so we would prefer a home with another playful dog in it. He is a puppy and has a lot of energy and needs a home where he'll get attention and training and activity. We do not know how he would be with cats or kids. KODIAK walks well on a leash but his puppy energy is best suited for a home with a fenced yard. He loves to explore and is learning to play fetch. He is still working on his potty training and whoever adopts him should be prepared to keep working with him with patience, positive reinforcement, and a solid routine. He is very treat oriented and loves to please his people- a good combination! He likely did not have any guidance early on. At night KODIAK sleeps in the bed with his foster family and their dogs.
