Gentleman Reuben! Are you looking for your best lil boi? This cutie puptootie is Reuben,-a 4 year old, 35 pound Jack Russell Terrier mix. Reuben had a perfectly happy home until Hurricane Helene struck! His Mom heroically got herself and her dogs to safety. Sadly, her new place doesn't allow her to keep all her babies. So, sweetman Reuben is looking for a new lap to love on. Being a 'hopelessly devoted to you' sweetboi, Reuben is looking for the Someone who is as eager to lavish attention on him. The slightly, lightly spoiled gentleman thief pilfers socks and then tries to entice the previous owners into a game of tug of war! Reuben is also is quite fond of a pleasant game of fetch. Reuben has been in a home and fostered with other dogs, however, he is a bit particular about what canines he keeps company with. Sharing the homestead with a smaller lady canine might be nice. Reuben chased after the Foster felines when he first joined their home. The pup has been learning more acceptable manners and does better now. Since Reuben's instinct is to react to cat antics, his new Mom or Dad will want to follow through on setting canine-feline boundaries. Reuben should do well with kiddos 11 and up who respect dogs and their individual temperaments. Reuben so much misses spending his days watching a bit of telly, partaking in a little sedate sport (fetch or tug), and most especially, ardently adoring and being adored by his Person! A dog savvy, home often, retired couple, older family or single folk looking for a canine companion will find Reuben the best boi to love! Dog parks are not a good fit for this pup. The best adopters give their new family member time to decompress and grow familiar with a new environment and routine. They see the importance of investing time to understand their dog and build a bond of trust and provide steady, reasonable guidance and training. An adopter commits to slow and monitored introductions with new people, especially children, other animals, and new places. If you have the time to give and are ready to experience all that comes with a puppy, the joys and the training, as well as the possible normal growing 'oopsies' like chewing, potty accidents, and puppy nips or nibbles, please apply with that in mind.
