About Zira

Meet Zira! This gorgeous girl was found wearing a collar, but she had no owner information on her and no one came looking for her, so we were unable to reunite her with her family. She's probably used to being loved and adored, and now that she's fond herself in the stressful shelter environment she comes across as timid. That's a tough adjustment for any dog! She's still a very gentle soul, just looking for a safe space. Despite her nerves she's all sweetness! She's easily handled on leash. She's a bit green in terms of behavior, but she's a quick learner. While she's not too interested in toys she will happily take treats if you drop them in front of her and give her some space. Zira is the kind of dog who will let you pet her, but she needs a bit of time to feel comfortable enough to fully trust you. Time and patience do a lot to help her get used to new people. She's a low energy girl who enjoys a bit of space and would thrive in a home where she can feel secure and loved. In return, she'll be forever grateful!
