About Charlie

Charlie is a one-in-a-million Norwegian Elkhound who is looking for a forever home. After graduating from training with straight A's, Charlie is ready to show off his smarts and share his penchant for fun with a like-minded soul! Charlie enjoys balls and toys but he really loves outdoor adventures and activities. He welcomes love and affection, but prefers a relaxed home atmosphere. Watch out for his secret sauce - his bright eyes and smile make it hard not to fall in love! Thanks to the efforts of the Webster MA animal control officer, Charlie is a different dog from when he was surrendered by elderly owners who could not take care of him. He now has manners and confidence, and is always ready to play or get leashed for a walk. Charlie has spent several months in the shelter, so please understand it is best he has multiple visits so you can get to know each other. No children, no small pets. A compatible resident dog is possible as he does show interest in his kennel mates. He is athletic and can jump high, so a tall, secure fence is required! Charlie is house-trained and UTD. Adopters will receive a voucher to have him neutered at no cost.
