Meet Cinder, an almost five-year-old blue merle Australian Shepherd from Cedar Springs, MI, who's equal parts lovable goofball and dedicated cuddle machine! With his striking coat of white, black, and gray freckles, Cinder is as handsome as he is affectionate-and believe us, this boy loves hard. He's basically a weighted blanket who will happily plant himself on your lap or your feet. Cinder is a high-energy Aussie who thrives in the great outdoors. Whether it's running around in a big fenced yard or joining you for adventures on walking trails, this guy is always up for some fresh air and fun! True to his breed, he's got strong herding instincts, so he needs a family that understands his desire to keep things in order. He's friendly with other dogs and enjoys meeting new human visitors, but he's not a fan of cats or children-kids tend to activate his herding mode, and he prefers an adult-centric home. When it comes to attention, Cinder is an absolute hog. He must be the center of your world and will make it known with endless affection and his irresistible charm! Once he finds his perfect comfy spot, he becomes what his family affectionately calls 'The Moose'-an immovable snuggle king. He knows basic commands like 'sit,' 'stay,' 'lie down,' 'come,' and 'roll over' (if food motivated). Cinder is house-trained, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. His new family should be prepared for regular exercise, plenty of affection, and a life filled with big Aussie love! Cinder's perfect home? One without kids, with a fenced yard (physical or electric) for him to stretch his legs, and plenty of room for him to be his affectionate, energetic self.
