Ruby came north from Alabama 7 years ago and was adopted by a loving family in Baltimore. Little is known about the first year of her life, but based on her wary nature, we are certain she did not come from a loving home. Ruby is a sweet girl, but she is wary upon first meeting new people. She is also a bit skittish and nervous with load sounds or anything that seems overstimulating. She was adopted when her family had no kids and they now have two little girls, 9 months old and 3 years old. Recently, the 3-year-old had a cracker that Ruby wanted, so she jumped up to take it from her hand but accidentally bit the little girl's cheek. Note that Ruby is NOT aggressive and this was completely accidental, but her owners are concerned that when the baby becomes more mobile, another such incident could occur, so they have made the very painful decision to rehome her. Ruby is a pretty-low key, low-maintenance girl who loves nothing more than to lounge around and cuddle with her humans. She is not crazy about walking on a leash, so a fenced yard is required. She is fine with other dogs and even cats but would be extremely happy to be the only pet in the home and the center of her family's universe! Daisy is current on all vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. She currently being fostered in Baltimore, MD and her adoption fee is $350.00.
