About Sonnet

Meet Sonnet. She is in rescue because her mom is seriously ill and can no longer care for her. As you can see, Sonnet is a beautiful Wheaten Scottie. She will be five years old in February and is spayed. Sonnet has been well loved and cared for these last four years and we are hoping to find her the perfect new home. A fenced yard is a must! Sonnet is a very energetic young lass who needs an active family to keep her engaged. There is very little down time with Sonnet. She needs someone who can harness her energy by assigning her home/yard 'tasks' or enrolling her in agility classes or other activities. Sonnet has a very high prey drive and enjoys patrolling her domain for small critters. Therefore, she needs a home without cats, bunnies, birds, etc. She is clever, knows basic commands and would benefit from continued training. As is common with Wheatens, she does have allergies and needs weekly medicated baths and ear cleaning as well as special food. Sonnet has been an only dog her entire life but might do well in a home with other active dogs to play with. She's also interacted well with children ages 6 and up. Sonnet is currently in foster care and we are learning more about her every day.
