NICKY is a handsome 2 year old, 10.8 Maltese who was found as a stray. He was microchipped and the registered owner was contacted and informed us he had been rehomed, but that person never responded to messages from anyone. The registered owner surrendered him and he came to us to find a new home. NICKY is a very sweet boy who needs someone to give him lots of love. He follows his foster mom everywhere she goes, loves attention and sometimes gives kisses. He is more comfortable around women and initially timid around men. He is warming up to his foster dad though and is excited to see him when he comes home from work. He will probably be best in a home without younger, active kids. NICKY is good with other dogs and loves to play with them. He would be so happy in a home with another small playful dog to be his best friend! He still has puppy energy and enjoys running around the backyard and wrestling with his doggy friends. He has not been around cats. NICKY is not leash trained and needs a home with a secure fenced yard. His foster mom is working with him on potty training and keeps him on a pretty good routine. He needs somebody to keep working with him with love and patience. At night, sweet NICKY sleeps in the bed with his foster family. He will sleep in a dog bed if preferred but he would rather be with his person. NICKY has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a 12 month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration.
