LOCATION: Jacksonville, NC DOB: 09/09/2022 Meet Leia, a tan and white Great Dane with a joyful spirit and enough energy to brighten any day. She's a fun, lively girl who loves to zoom around the yard and, when she gets really excited, she hops like a bunny - a goofy little move that never fails to make her people smile. Leia lives life with enthusiasm, whether she's sprinting after a ball or wiggling her whole body in greeting. Leia is wonderful with adults and would do best with older kids who can appreciate her playful personality. Her enthusiasm is all in good fun, but her size and energy could easily topple a toddler without meaning to. She is dog-friendly and enjoys the company of canine friends, though she does best with dogs her own size who can match her play style. Due to her high prey drive, she is not a fit for a home with cats or small animals. This smart girl is both housetrained and crate trained. She's eager to please and picks up basic obedience quickly, though she does still pull on leash. With consistency and patience, she'll continue to improve - she's bright and motivated, especially when praise and treats are involved. Leia also rides beautifully in the car and loves hopping into the backseat for an adventure, whether it's a long road trip or a quick ride around the block. While she's always ready for a good game of fetch or some outdoor fun, Leia is just as happy to settle in for snuggles when the day winds down. She has a loving, affectionate side and adores being close to her people. Leia is looking for an active home that appreciates her playful nature and can offer structure, companionship, and plenty of love.
