SABAN is an 11 year old, pound black and tan female Dachshund surrendered to us after the death of her owner along with three other dogs, including her brother Bryant. Saban is a great companion dog! She is an affectionate, cuddly, and contented canine friend that likes a quieter home. She enjoys sitting on your lap and being petted, giving lots of kisses, following you around in or out, or hanging out in a dog bed nearby. She attaches quickly to her people and will cry softly when left alone. It is best if she has a family who can spend a lot of time with her. Though she doesn't interact much, Saban loves her fur siblings and enjoys the company of all the dogs at her foster home, but she will chase the cat. Saban is house trained, but does need to go outside frequently. She is always excited and ready to head outside when you come home. Saban does well on a leash and would likely enjoy walks (short ones due to her stubby legs). She likes to ride in the car and is at the car door ready to go when you are. A favorite activity is snuggling and sleeping in the bed under the covers with her person! Saban has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, had had a dental, is heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about SABAN: She would probably be ok with an older child, but a lot of activity in the house would make her anxious. She enjoys her treats but is somewhat finicky at meal time. Saban is a great alert system for squirrels, birds, and strangers, but is typically quiet with very good house manners.
