About Lainey

Introducing the adorable Miss Lainey. She is a one-year-old Shih-Tzu who has unfortunately spent her short life confined to a small crate as a breeding dog. Despite these challenging circumstances, her spirit remains unyielding, and she possesses an unwavering zest for life. Lainey is initially shy and prefers to stay close to her human companions, seeking comfort and reassurance. She is currently thriving in a foster home where she harmoniously coexists with both cats and other dogs. At night, she finds solace sleeping next to her foster parent and enjoys spending quality time on the sofa by their side. Lainey is making commendable progress with her outdoor potty training and has shown no inclination towards using pee pads. She takes great pleasure in car rides, embarking on extended trail walks, and cherishing the companionship of fellow canine friends. She walks well on a leash and right next to you when in a safely secured area. I am diligently seeking a loving and permanent home for Lainey, where she can receive the patience, understanding, and consistency she needs to blossom into the sweet and affectionate companion she is destined to be. The ideal environment would include the presence of another small dog, as well as a securely fenced yard for her to explore and frolic. Additionally, a tranquil and serene home where she is not left alone would be most suitable for her well-being. Please note that Lainey has not yet undergone spaying, but this procedure will be completed in the near future at which time she'll be available for adoption.
