It is with a heavy heart that I share my decision to find a new home for Rauru, my beloved 18-month-old Ragdoll cat. This choice has not been made lightly, and I want to ensure that Rauru's well-being remains the top priority. Reasons for Rehoming: Housing Constraints: Our upcoming move to New England involves transitioning to a living environment that lacks the cat-friendly amenities Rauru currently enjoys. The new residence has limited space and Rauru is strictly an indoor cat, which raises concerns about his safety and quality of life. Allergy Considerations: I will be sharing accommodations with an individual who has significant cat allergies. Despite exploring various solutions, such as air purifiers and designated cat-free zones, it has become clear that managing these allergies in the new living situation would be challenging for all parties involved. About Rauru: Rauru is a purebred Ragdoll with a gentle and affectionate nature. He has been a source of joy and companionship, adapting well to various environments and routines. While he has been diagnosed with Feline Calicivirus (FCV), it is currently under control, with only occasional sneezing episodes. This condition does not hinder his daily activities or diminish his loving disposition. Seeking a Loving Home: My deepest wish is to find Rauru a home where he will be cherished and well cared for. An ideal environment would be one without cat allergies and with ample space for him to explore safely. Given his docile temperament, he would thrive in a setting that offers both affection and tranquility. For his safety and health he absolutely must continue to be a strictly indoor cat. Ragdolls docile nature means that he is utterly incapable of defending himself. If you or someone you know is interested in providing a loving home for Rauru, please reach out to me. I am committed to ensuring a smooth transition and am willing to discuss any details to guarantee his future happiness and well-being.
