About Osita

Chow Chow
Age: Senior
Sex: Female

[Read About Natural Incontinence Care] Meet Osita. Osita will be 10 in December. She spent the majority of her life as an outdoor dog until she was rehomed to me in January 2023. Since then she has been an indoor dog on Fresh Pet living her best life. Unfortunately, I need to rehome Osita due to my ESA cane corso dealing with reactivity and needing structure. Osita is not trained and gets anxious if I leave without her to work with my ESA 1-1, which puts her at risk of injury and danger. She has jumped the fence and nearly got lost in the community. When I put her in the crate, she gets anxious and tries to get out. Osita's temperament is mellow and she sleeps the majority of the day. When I leave, both dogs are left home with free access, and Osita has never engaged in destructive behavior. She looks forward to walks/hikes. She does have a high prey drive and needs to be told to 'leave it' if she sees a cat during walks. She will mostly cry, but is easily redirected. After walks, I do put a diaper on her. Recently, she has been having incontinence. This only happens after walks/hikes, she is well potty trained otherwise. She is great with other dogs, people, and children. Osita does not bark when someone comes to the door or with mailman etc. When people come and visit the home, she will slowly approach them to smell them, but she does not intrude on their personal space. She prefers to be left alone. When she wants affection, she will come to you. She is not your typical chow chow. Overall, I want to ensure Osita finds a good home to continue to be an indoor dog. I will take Osita to the vet before to ensure all vaccines, nail trim, etc are up to par before rehoming.%BD%A0
