About Daisy

Daisy is a 2-3 year old, Treeing Walker Coonhound who was very pregant when she found herself in a rural shelter. Daisy came to us so she could have her puppies in the safety of a foster home. With puppies now raised, Daisy is ready to find a family of her own! Still like a puppy herself, Daisy enjoys lots of fun, exercise, playtime and chew toys. She adores people and is great with adults and kids alike. In her foster home, Daisy is house trained using a doggie door, can be crated and is easy to walk on-leash. Like many of the hounds we rescue, she does need to be fed separately from other dogs. Daisy is sure to bring life, love and lots of energy to the family who chooses her! Augusta Dog Adoptions is an foster- based rescue and does not have a physical shetler for you to visit. We take applications online and are scheduling individual adoptions in the Waynesboro, VA area during the pandemic. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries.
