About Bernard

Meet adoptable Bernard! Bernard and his brother Carlton were dumped in a secluded neighborhood and left to fend for themselves. Thankfully, the neighborhood joined forces to keep these boys fed while they awaited space at the shelter. Now, Bernard is at the shelter awaiting adoption. Bernard appears to be shy at first, but don't let that fool you. Once he gets to know you, he is obsessive and very loyal. He is a very friendly and social fellow whose trust is very easy to gain. If you are someone who enjoys playing in the water, Bernard is the dog for you! He enjoys chasing the waterhose and taking a nice swim when possible. He enjoys his bed at the shelter and keeps his kennel pretty clean! Bernard would love to go to a family with other dogs and would be great for a home with kids.
