CALLIE is an active 1 1/2 year old, 20 pound mixed breed pup. We do not know what the mix is, but she looks like a Chihuahua Rat Terrier. She was surrendered by her owner because of a housing issue. We brought her and her puppies in a day after the pups were born! CALLIE was a very good mom but her puppies are weaned now and it's time for her to find her home! Callie is the sweetest girl who loves her person. She loves to snuggle and give kisses, lots and lots of them! She gives a little bark when meeting new people but quickly makes friends. Callie is a happy girl who needs an active person or family and she would love a doggy playmate. She loves to play with another dog, a favorite game is tug-of-war. She has the cutest pounce when she wants to play with her pal. She is mostly housebroken and will use a dog door or scratch at a back door to go out if there isn't one. She is fast like the wind and loves to do zoomies in the yard and chase lizards. She needs work on her leash training and we are looking for a home with a fenced yard. At night she sleeps in the bed with her foster mom. CALLIE has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, fecal tested, heartworm negative, has had a 12-month ProHeart heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. MORE about CALLIE: Not kid or cat tested, but likely good with older kids. She can jump on people unexpectedly so she might knock down very young kids or people with balance issues. She needs a lot of stimulation and activity and toys or bones will help keep her occupied.
